Halloween and black wedding inspiration: Debbie Gillespie Cake Design

Halloween and black wedding inspiration: Debbie Gillespie Cake Design

You never know what you are going to come across on a walk through the woods in Bickershaw, Greater Manchester.  On this occasion, a group of fabulous northern wedding suppliers who came together to create the most atmospheric black wedding inspiration.   Perfect for any Halloween event.

The idea was the brainchild of Vicky Dubois Photography.  She persuaded us all to trudge across a wet field as she had the perfect vision.  And photography magic is what she created ……

Our model Chloe just had the perfect look for this shoot, with such expressive eyes made even more beautiful by Sara Aspinall Make-up.  The way that Chloe’s hair withstood the soggy conditions was a testament to Hair by Martyn‘s skill – the rest of us looked like drowned rats.

The girls at Legend Bridal are the queens of alternative wedding dresses.  Here is the proof that having something less traditional and even a black wedding dress does not mean that you sacrifice beauty, style and WOW factor.

The overall look was finished off with some amazing headpieces by Savanna at Gypsy Blood UK.  They just elevated the look and provided the perfect amount of drama.  She is also very handy with a smoke bomb!!!!

So whilst they were having fun with smoke bombs and headdresses, myself and Jane from Maddison Rocks Floral Sculpture played around with the table display.  There was a whole selection of skulls, gothic china, dead/dying foliage and other curiosities for us to choose from.  Not to mention Jane’s stunning bouquets and of course, my gothic-style black wedding cake (for more information on this cake, click here for the product information and price).

Last but not least, we had Sam from Prim and Glad who provided the most gorgeous stationery.  Unfortunately, it was far too wet on the day to shoot the stationery outside.  So Vicky did a fabulous job of styling it in a slightly drier place with some of her own curiosities.

I hope you like what we managed to pull together.  Here is a list of all our talented and crazy creatives:
